Cardiac Sonographer
Shift: Flexible (Ideally someone who can do M-F 8-5)
Pay: $35-$40+/hour depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Location: 70124
Contract to Hire: 1040 hours (around 6 months, goal to hire on after)

Training: Training will be hands on and led by the providers. Each provider has different methods, which the candidate will have to learn. This individual will be the only sonographer on site.
Qualifications:
Associates degree, RDCS/RCS certification, BLS
Open on experience level
Responsibilities:
- The cardiovascular technologist will do ultrasound measurements of artery and heart, supervise screenings and return blood samples to the laboratory. He/she will work with the investigators to read images of carotid artery and cardiac indices and analyze the cardiovascular structure and function and risk factor data from the Bogalusa Heart Study. He/she will maintain data and data files from the study, review database and report information provided by study investigators. In addition, he/she will provide assistance with writing reports and letters to physicians and subjects on health status and writing manuscripts for publication.
- Tests: Vascular tests, ABIs, echo-cardiographs, stress tests, lung capacity, pulmonary function (Bilateral and Unilateral testing)
